I'm excited and honored to have been invited as a featured author at "A Novel Idea," a literary gathering of authors and diners at Peach and the Pork Chop in Crabapple (Roswell, Georgia). During this Literary Dinner Theater I, along with other authors and poets, read to a good turnout of diners. What fun! And great food, too!

The Pulpwood Queen Book Club Girlfriend Weekend

It's a celebration of authors, books, literacy and reading, all while having some really BIG BOOK LOVE FUN! It's the HOW THE WEST WAS WON themed Girlfriend Weekend Author Extravaganza!

With over 600 chapters, the Pulpwood Queens make up the largest book club in the world. "Where tiaras are mandatory and reading good books is the rule."
Award-winning author Reavis Wortham was co-host and a keynote speaker at this annual weekend-long celebration of books and readers. is an American author, critically acclaimed for his The Red River Series books, including The Rock Hole, which was a finalist in the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award presented by the Independent Book Publishers Association, and a finalist for the Will Rogers Medallion.

Donna's Book Club Hosted Best-Selling Author Sally Kirkpatrick
Writers love to read, too! It was such an honor and so much fun to have best selling author Sally Kilpatrick in my home! My book club (Witty Women, Wine and Words) chose her newest release, "Oh My Stars," as our December selection and she joined us for a great night of discussion and laughter. We're missing some from the photo who had to leave earlier, but we had a nice turnout. The decor and buffet items were themed, taken from elements of "Oh My Stars". Featured Author, SIBA Discovery Show
Southern Independent Bookseller's Alliance (SIBA) "Discovery Show" in Savannah, GA at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto kicked off on the 15th with a party at the Tybee Island beach house of New York Times Best Selling Author Mary Kay Walters; she was this year's keynote speaker, as well. The entire weekend was packed with events.
